About Us

Cynthia Taylor, Partner

Cynthia Taylor gained experience doing books and taxes while working with a range of clients through a bookkeeping company.

A quick study, Cynthia is fully versed in Sage 50 (Simply Accounting), QuickBooks, and Dynacomm. Patient and detail-oriented, Cynthia can manage a client’s financials or teach them how to do it.

Crazy as it sounds, Cynthia loves to clean up financial messes! She calmly reassures people that they are not the only ones who are months or years behind on their books, and gets them caught up. Then she establishes practices to ensure payments are made on time and everything stays up-to-date. She helps tax clients get as many deductions as possible, while maintaining the highest integrity.

In 2006, Cynthia started Advantage Bookkeeping, which became Taylor Gerber & Associates in 2013.

Timothy Taylor, Partner

Tim Taylor apprenticed as a licensed diesel mechanic and worked in his field for a few years before joining his wife Cynthia in her growing business.

Over the past four years, Tim has been applying the same strategic mind that made him a good mechanic to help business owners with their finances. If there is a problem with a client’s books, Tim gets to the bottom of it and brings the numbers up to standard.

Tim works to understand a company’s overall financial picture and develops reports that provide the detailed information needed to make important decisions—like whether it’s time to purchase another asset. He also enjoys assisting clients with job costing.

Mike Gerber, Partner

Mike Gerber began bookkeeping at 15 years old for Millbank Hardware—which was owned by his father Floyd Gerber. News of his talent with numbers spread and Mike later began working with other business owners. Since then Mike graduated from an accounting program and has become a certified QuickBooks Advisor.

With his honesty, integrity, and natural attention to detail, clients breathe a sigh of relief when Mike helps them do everything from paying bills and filing government paperwork to reviewing their financial picture in order to make sound business decisions.

Mike believes in providing outstanding customer service and has been known to meet clients at their place of business at sunrise—if that’s when it’s most convenient.

Brenda Gerber, Advisor

Brenda Gerber is passionate about giving back to the local community. Growing up outside Milverton on a dairy farm, Brenda saw the importance of caring for the earth as she helped with chores and lived by the rhythm of farm life. Later as a teacher in small Mennonite schools in Alberta, Idaho, and Ontario she saw the power of giving kids opportunities to learn new things—especially music. Brenda also developed a concern for seniors and people with disabilities as she helped them in their homes. As an advisor to Taylor Gerber, Brenda spearheads the company’s volunteer and charitable initiatives.
